Export your contacts

Download all your contacts as one vCard or JSON file.

You get one file with all your contacts and where each came from. Choose vCard to import them in other apps. Choose JSON to include your merge decisions too.

Steps

  1. Open your account menu and tap Settings. Then tap Advanced.
  2. Next to Export everything, tap Export….
  3. Tap Download vCard (every contact) or Download JSON (every contact + every merge decision).

Tap Hide to close the options.

What happens next

Your browser saves the file.

If something goes wrong

  • "We couldn't download the vCard file. Try again in a moment." Tap the button again. The JSON button has a matching message.
  • "N contacts couldn't be read and are not in this file." The file is missing those contacts. Try the download again.
  • "This file may be incomplete — some contacts couldn't be read." Try the download again.
