Change how often ContactZapp checks

Choose Hourly, Daily or Manual only for when ContactZapp checks your accounts for changes.

You choose how often ContactZapp checks your accounts for changes. Pick Hourly, Daily or Manual only.

Steps

  1. Open your account menu and tap Settings. Then tap Sync.
  2. Under Check for changes, choose Hourly, Daily or Manual only.

Or use the switch in the sync panel. Tap Sync details, then choose a schedule.

What happens next

The sync panel shows the schedule, for example "Next check in" a time. With Manual only, it reads "Manual sync only". Tap Sync now whenever you want to check.

New accounts start on Manual only. Nothing is checked on a schedule until you choose one. Scheduled checks also start only after you've pressed Start syncing.

If something goes wrong

  • The panel says "Next sync not scheduled". You haven't pressed Start syncing yet.
  • The summary email is too frequent. Digest email is a separate setting in Settings › Sync. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Off. It doesn't change how often we check.

How often does ContactZapp check my accounts for changes, and can I change it?

You can choose Hourly, Daily or Manual only. Use the switch next to Sync now in the top bar, or go to Settings › Sync and use Check for changes. New users start on Manual only, which never checks on its own, so use Sync now when you want to check. Hourly and Daily are not real-time. A run can start later than the interval, by up to half an interval. The Digest email setting only controls the summary email and doesn't change how often we check.
