Frequently asked questions
What is ContactZapp?
ContactZapp is a contact synchronization and duplicate-management app. It merges and syncs your contacts across Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Apple iCloud and CardDAV, with automatic duplicate detection and reviewed merges.
Which contact platforms does ContactZapp support?
Google Workspace / Google Contacts, Microsoft 365, Apple iCloud, and any CardDAV-based address book.
Will ContactZapp change my contacts without asking?
No. Every proposed merge is shown to you as a record built from its source fields, and nothing writes back to a connected account until you approve it.
Can I undo a merge?
Yes. Every change is kept in a continuous history rather than just a final state, and can be rolled back — a single contact, one account, or everything, to any point in time.
Is my contact data encrypted?
Yes. Contact data is encrypted with a key unique to your account, not a single shared key, and no contact field is ever stored as plaintext.
Are my login credentials safe?
Credentials for your connected accounts are used only to sync — they're never written to logs, exports, or error messages.
What happens when I delete a contact?
Deleted contacts are recoverable until you say otherwise (soft delete). Permanent deletion removes a contact everywhere, including your connected accounts.
How much does ContactZapp cost?
The Free plan syncs up to 100 contacts across 2 connected accounts. Paid plans raise or remove those limits — see the pricing page for current plans.
